What is Golden Week?
Golden Week is the most important week in Japan. It is a group of celebrations. The four celebrations that make up Golden Week are:
Golden Week is enjoyed as it also means people get a holiday from work and school. This holiday lasts a week. People use this time to celebrate these important events.
Below is an example of Golden Week celebration.
- Showa Day (Showa no hi) on the 29th of April
- Constitution Day (Kenpo kinenbi) on the 3rd of May
- Greenery Day (Midori no hi) on the 4th of May
- Children's Day (Kodomo no hi) on the 5th of May
